Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage. (Galatians 5:1 KJV)

At times when healing is slow to manifest we give up and give in too easily. You will hear things like 'it's not working , I tried it'. The truth is you are not suppose to TRY IT, you are suppose to live it . Whether you know it or not, whether you believe it or not, healing is a done deal. Christ already paid for it so it's up to you to live it. The truth is actually not that we are trying to get healed, we are actually the HEALED refusing to accept sickness.

Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were HEALED. (1 Peter 2:24 KJV)
When this truth dawn on you it creates a whole new perspective and a complete change in attitude.
The first passage tells you that you are already free, all you are doing is refusing to buy a lie, the second passage confirms that it is a done deal.

And the apostles said unto the Lord, Increase our faith. And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. But which of you, having a servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? And will not rather say unto him, Make ready wherewith I may sup, and gird thyself, and serve me, till I have eaten and drunken; and afterward thou shalt eat and drink? Doth he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I trow not           (Luke 17:5-9 KJV).

When it comes to healing , one of the commonest reason given for being unable to effect healing is that the faith of the individual involved is 'too little' This story shows otherwise, it is not how big your faith is, (Mustard seed is one of the smallest seeds available, almost microscopic) it is how operative.

For faith to be operative and active it has to be put to constant use as revealed in the above illustration by Jesus Christ. Faith has got to be worked like a servant constantly to maintain the flow, so that when we need it to minister healing the habit is already formed. You cannot afford to give your faith a holiday , no not for one minute if you can help it. No wonder the bible says

(For we walk by faith, not by sight:) (2 Corinthians 5:7 KJV) and

Now the just shall live by faith:.........(Hebrews 10:38a KJV)

So keep walking, keep living, but do it by faith, soon it will become a habit and you will be able to say to the disease or sickness..away! And it will obey you.

(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations; according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform. (Romans 4:17-21 KJV)

To overcome sickness and disease, to stay healed, to walk in divine health you have to stay STRONG IN FAITH.How do you do that you ask? I'm glad you asked!!  Look at the above scripture. If you consider the weakness of your body ( in other words if you focus on the physical evidence) you become WEAK IN FAITH, however if you consider  what has been promised you become STRONG IN FAITH

Let's put it this way if you focus on the illness it drags you down whereas if you focus on the 'healing promises' it pulls you up.

For example it is common practice for people to spend large quality time studying and researching everything they can find about a disease or illness they've been diagnosed with, they end up knowing so much about the disease and its workings. They then spend little or no time studying the promises of God that guarantee the healing they desire except to mouth it on occasions. I will suggest you do the reverse.

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh
 (Prov. 4:20-22)

That scripture says Abraham was not weak in faith because he did not CONSIDER his circumstance. To consider means to ponder on, meditate, give attention to or spend quality time on. It does not mean you ignore it, it just means you don't give it pride of place .

Definition: A promise is an undertaking to provide something or meet a commitment on demand.

And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms of them that entered into the temple; Who seeing Peter and John about to go into the temple asked an alms. And Peter, fastening his eyes upon him with John, said, Look on us. And he gave heed unto them, expecting to receive something of them. Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. (Acts 3:2-7 KJV)

Peter here command the healing based on what he had . The question is what was it that he had?
From what we discussed so far particularly on Thursday, within the spirit of every born again Christian is the same power that raised Christ from the dead ( Eph,1:17-20, John14:12, Mark 16:16-18, Rom.8;11, Acts 1:8) and the authority that comes with the name of  Jesus Christ ( Matt. 28:18-20, Phil. 2:9-11). The difference is Peter knew he had access to these and how to use it by faith.

He knew that the power was his to command by faith in the name of Jesus, so he could draw on it. He did not need to ask God to heal the man because God already gave Him the tools. It's like a man who needs electric power to flow in his house either to cook or give light, except he knows that the switch is at his command, he would be calling the Electric power company to supply when what he actually needs to do is turn the switch on. To be appropriate. the power is not  his own but its under Peter  command.

In ministering healing we need to lay hold on the power  in our spirit by faith, believing in what God as promised, not ask God to do what He ask us to do.

When I first found this out, I was reluctant to accept or try it because it is so counter culture. I was worried about what people would say especially in the modern day church. But it makes so much sense to me and as I moved in this direction God honoured His word. This is particularly rewarding when you are ministering healing to yourself (there are several reasons why this is so).

For example,
if you want healing for say Diabetes Mellitus. The approach should be to command the diabetic disease to leave, then demand the pancreas be healed or come alive or restored in the name of Jesus.

Yes I know it sounds simple, but I can assure you not necessary easy (However this is the basic approach). This has to be based on your knowing the things we talked about before because faith is based on knowledge

Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:31, 32 KJV)

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. (Romans 10:17 KJV)

Faith however is governed by spiritual laws! By the grace of God we will spend the first part of the next session of Healing Academy dealing with this.

Swallow this one...
Realise this:

1.There are 2 worlds (The Spiritual  and The Physical, the one you see with naked eye and the
one you can't.) 2 Cor. 4:18

2. The Spiritual world existed before the Physical world , it is also infinitely more   superior created and influence the physical. Heb. 11:3

3. You are a spirit, you live in a body and have a soul. Gen. 2:7
God is a  Spirit so He communicates and fellowships with your spirit - John 4:24,     1Cor. 2:9-16
4. The part of you that is redeemed is your spirit. 2 Cor. 5:17

5. Healing flows from your spirit by faith. Rom. 8:11

 6. Healing has already been provided by Grace and deposited in your spirit
but can only be accessed by Faith.  2 Peter 1:2-4, Eph. 1:18-20

7. The Word of God is your mirror or reference point for the spirit. John 6:63, James 1:25

Consider and ponder these key points ,  give attention to the bible passages.
God will give you understanding.

A healthy dose will produce results

Sickness is a curse not a blessing , it has no redemptive purpose

In Deuteronomy 28, verse 1-14 list the blessings and from 15 to the end curses under the Law. Even under the Law (Old Covenant) sickness and diseases of all shapes and sizes are listed under curses. So without a shadow of doubt we know that sickness and disease are causes and the whole book of the Galatians was written to show that we are no longer under the law of works, but under grace through faith in Jesus Christ. See

10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.
11 But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.
12 And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them.
13 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:

So if Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law  one of which is sickness and disease why would anybody settle for it. This is really not rocket science, in reality nobody should be deceived to accept it.  For example in the natural if you have a jail sentence for a crime pardoned, nobody in their right sense would then agree to be incarcerated again , not to talk of an instance  where the jail term has already been paid for in full,  we would fight tooth and nail using every legal means at our disposal to stay free.

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (Ephesians 1:3 KJV)

Sickness is a curse not a blessing

Conclusion :You need to get sick and tired of been sick and tired
You must not settle for less than what has been PURCHASED AND PAID FOR!

Tuesday's Pill

Healing is part and parcel of  the atonement ( as is forgiveness of sin, deliverance from demonic operation,  and material prosperity)

'That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.' (Romans 10:9, 10 KJV)

The word translated saved in the above passage is the Greek word 'sozo'. In the New Testament it appears 110 times, denoting

A. Forgiveness of sin: Matt.1:21, Luke 8:12
B. Deliverance from demonic oppression: Luke 8:36
C. Healing James: 5:15
D. Material prosperity or deliverance from poverty (by implication): 2 Cor. 8:9

The same belief and confession that brought forgiveness of sin also guaranteed the other three. Unfortunately the modern day church for whatever reason has limited it to forgiveness of sin only, and possibly in few other instances  material prosperity is included. The same power that delivered you from sin took care of demonic oppression, guaranteed your healing and provided prosperity.
They form a complete and total package, none is inferior to the other, they are integral to one another but It's the Truth that you know that will make you free!

'Who hath delivered (past tense) us from the power of darkness, and hath translated (past tense) us into the kingdom of his dear Son' (Col.1:13)

God will not refuse to forgive your sin, neither will He refuse to heal you or allow demonic oppression and will never teach with poverty... As a matter of fact it's all a done deal with God, the question is will you receive it by faith......1 Peter 2:24

What you don't know. may be  killing you, ignorance is not bliss.

Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. (3 John 1:2 KJV)

This commonly quoted verse states explicitly that top of God's wish list is for us to prosper and be in health! It leaves nothing to personal interpretation , it's as clear as day that left to God, He desires that each and everyone of us should never know sickness. Why is it then you hear some pray for healing and end it with ' if it be thy will'?

How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (Acts 10:38 KJV)

From the above we see that God anointed Christ to do GOOD i.e. heal ALL that are oppressed of the devil.  Simply put healing is from God, sickness is from the devil.

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (James 1:17 KJV)

If it is good, if it is perfect then it is from God, nothing less , nothing more.  There nothing good or perfect about sickness or disease!

Conclusion: When it comes to healing never pray 'IF IT BE THY WILL' , that  kind of prayer will keep you in bondage and sickness.  Yes 'it is His will, for you to walk in health in Jesus Name
