CAPSULE 12 is a Child of capsule 10 and 11

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. (James 1:22-25 KJV)

This passage says if you hear and don't do there is only one person you are deceiving , that is YOURSELF. Note that it didn't say you are deceiving your wife or husband or colleague or God, but only YOURSELF . In fact you are like a person who after checking out his appearance in mirror does nothing about it.

On the other hand if you hear, remember and do, you will be blessed in your deeds, its that simple. In fact it didn't ask you to do it perfectly , none of us start out doing it perfectly, as a matter of fact I don't know anybody who does it perfectly.

The word of God gives a perfect representation of the real you i.e. your spirit (the born part of you). So what you see there when you look into it, demands an adjustment in your thinking so that your body can conform to your spirit. It is called the perfect law of liberty because as you conform to it you become free of physical circumstances almost effortlessly. This is not a once and for all thing , it is present continuous, it takes practise, it takes dedication. Am I saying its easy? Of course not.

As He spake these words, many believed on Him. Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed; And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. (John 8:30-32 KJV)

Look at the passage above and consider the steps , firstly you need to believe, then continue in the word, before you are regarded as a disciple indeed. Subsequently you will know the truth that will ensure your freedom. The word translated 'know' is the greek word 'ginosko' which implies to have an intimate knowledge of something or to understand beyond the superficial. Consider James 1:25 above, there is a big difference between looking at and looking into,(but that is for another capsule another day)
