DESIRE IS NOT ENOUGH
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. (Mark 11:24 KJV)
This is usually a shock to a lot of people and might become an hindrance to healing!
We think once we desire the healing it should manifest. The truth is that desire alone is never enough and this ought to be obvious.
All around us we see people, good people dying of sickness and disease despite a strong desire to be healed . To compound the problem , because we are sure of their desire we become confused when the healing fails to manifest . We know that they prayed, they fasted and we sometimes even 'interceded' on their behalf, yet nothing happened! So we reach all sorts of wrong conclusions.
Yes, without a doubt, strong desire is necessary to overcome the inertia but that is not the end of the story. The passage above says 'believe'. Believe what? That you receive (present tense), and you shall have it (future tense).
It's often thought that to 'receive it' and 'have it' are one and the same? Not according to this scripture and others. To receive it refers to spiritual assurance that your desire have been met i.e. a confirmation in the spiritual that the deed is done. 'To have it' is the physical manifestation. There is a time interval between the two, but it does not necessarily have to be long.
They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:18 KJV)
Can you see it again, 'lay hands on the sick (present), and they shall recover (future). So when you pray for healing you must believe you received it there and then. Once you know you have received it, commanding it to manifest is not as difficult because you don't have any doubt that it is already yours.
BELIEVE THAT YOU RECEIVED OR DOUBT AND DO WITHOUT
