How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. (‭Acts‬ 10‬:‭38‬ KJV)

Remember, we are keeping it simple (KIS). As promised that will remain our theme or focus in the next few capsules....back to basics.

Acts 10:38 is a familiar scripture and the more I consider it the more I see a simple spiritual equation. Let's look at it, God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with HOLY GHOST and POWER so that He ( that is Jesus) can go everywhere to do GOOD. This GOOD is explained as HEALING. Now this HEALING is necessitated by the OPPRESSION that comes from the devil. This would mean the HEALING described as 'doing good' is from God and OPPRESSION which is sickness is from the devil.

The above is so straight forward I am not sure how we managed to complicate things. John 10:10 says exactly the same thing. Sickness kills, steals and destroys, they all come from the thief (that is the devil). Sickness is death in slow motion. Christ came to give life and life in abundance. This means that He came to provide life generously, so that we would not run short of it, that is what abundance means. Now think about it if you have life in abundance why should you tolerate sickness in any form?

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. (‭James‬ ‭1‬:‭17‬ KJV)

James 1:17 says every good gift ( not some) and every perfect gift comes from God. This helps you discern what is from God, it has to be good and perfect, sickness or disease is neither good nor perfect. People with clumsy theology would say on occasion God use diseases to perfect us. Look at the B part of James 1:17, it says with God there is no variableness or shadow of turning or like the NLT puts it 'He does not change or cast shifting shadow'. What this means is that God is constant. This gladdens my heart, it tells me that if I am sick it is not from God and gives me the boldness to kick it out....KIS! Most of the memorable healing I have had on a personal basis revolves around knowing this. I never for one nanosecond doubt the fact that healing is good and it comes from God always and sickness is bad and it comes from the devil......this is the New Covenant reality written and engraved with the blood of JESUS CHRIST.

So when I am ministering healing either for myself or for somebody else I have come to know that my problem is not with God, it's either my unbelief or the devil. I don't go into deep analysis because therein lies paralysis.
