We are back on this subject of 'all we need for life and godliness ' or 'inside out'. Of all the teachings that I give, it seems to me that this is the one most people have difficulty grasping. Somehow people think I am teaching passivity, far from it! This is the whole message of the NT, 'Knowing that Christ is already inside of you, not out there; that is the only hope that you have to live a glorious life' (Colossians 1:20). The glory of Christ is not out there, it is inside of us. In the OT God lived in temples made of bricks and mortar, in the NT He is on the inside of you and I. What we need to do is let Him out. It is amazing how we fail to see this, it took me a long time to come to this realisation. What really frustrates me is, even when people say they get it, there is still this reluctance to live it as a concept., they don't have an experiential knowledge of it. This is obvious the way they pray , it is as if we are trying to convince God to do what He says He has already done, there is a begging and timidity in their approach, some form of uncertainty that you can almost palpate instead of a godly boldness (Hebrews 4:16)

“And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:10-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Romans 8: 10-11 illustrates this. Look at it, remember that this is referring to born again Christians. Verse 10 says if you agree that Christ is in you, then despite the fact that your body is dead because of sin, your spirit is alive because of righteousness (2 Corinthians 5:21). Now look at verse 11, the spirit of Christ that is in your born again spirit, or the resurrection power that is already in you is able to give life to your body and make it come alive. The only way this would ever happen is if you recognise the fact that this resurrection power is already in you and then release it by faith. Not by shouting or screaming ( not that there is anything wrong with shouting or screaming, as long as it is appropriately directed and done in faith). You will need to grasp this and know it in your knower, especially when it comes to ministering to the sick. This does not happen automatically. The same thought is expressed in Galatians 2:20; This is such a practical scripture, it helps to remove the burden and tedium that we at times get ourselves into. When you understand this, it puts the rituals of religion to shame. Prayer, fasting, meditation, studying the word of God would make more sense, will be a lot more rewarding and fun. The reason for this is because you're not doing them to get God to do anything, you are doing them to understand how to access, receive or release what He has already done and placed on the inside of you.

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭KJV‬

Don't face life like a human being, but a supernatural Human being, you must remind yourself and keep in view that thought, you are more than what meets the eyes, you are a thousand times bigger on the inside, infinitely bigger!!

“Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”
‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭1:2-4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I thank everybody who has given feedback, particularly in the last few capsules, (even when it seemed critical) the point is, you care enough to want clarification, to understand and that is the most important thing. These feedbacks are crucial to what we are trying to do. We are exploring ways of publishing them hence I will encourage you to use the comments section on the blog page. I am limited by space, so I try to be succinct and again most of the traditions that I am trying to dispel are things I have been guilty of in the past myself and some I am still struggling with. Moreover, I don't know everything and sometimes my explanation and analogies don't fit perfectly but they fit.

Now, let's get back to the concept of INSIDE OUT, I promised in the last Capsule that I will explain it in several ways. 2 Peter 1:2-4 is a thought provoking scripture as we've already seen, it says God has provided and given us ALL that we need for life and godliness in order that we might live like Him. This is mind blowing, we have been given this endowment , not that He is going to. However, there are two caveats, the first is that you can only access them through knowledge and the second is that they are in promises (that is in spiritual form). Think about it for a minute, a promise is an undertaking to make something available on demand. It is important you understand this because we would return to this thought later..

In the first creation God envisaged everything Adam would ever need and provided for them before He ever created him (Genesis chapter 1), God did it perfectly such that every living thing had the ability to reproduce after their kind so that there would not be any future lack. Even in chapter 2 it was God who anticipated the need for 'a companion comparable to Adam' and He went ahead and provided for it in form of Eve. So we can say He provided all Adam would ever need for life and godliness. Adam never needed to beg or plead with God , all he did was responded to these provision and accepted them as gift. This truth also obtains in this present dispensation.

In the new creation similarly, God provided a Saviour even when we did not know we needed one. Christ came paid the price for Sin, went to hell, spoilt the kingdom of darkness, rose on the third day, gave us the authority, sent the Holy Spirit (as if this is not enough), He is seated on the right hand of God interceding for us right now... that is Grace. All we have to do is respond positively to this...that is Faith. In the first creation, God put Adam in the midst of the garden with all the provision, in the new creation, everything that you need for life and godliness it's deposited in your born again spirit, all you need to do is access it by faith and manifest it in the physical realm (I pray you understand this). These provisions in the new creation are all in your born again spirit and you can access or make a demand on them by faith (remember the definition of promise). Whatever you and I may need God has anticipated it before the need arose and is your born again spirit, healing, peace, joy, love, wisdom, material wealth etc, if it is necessary for your spiritual and physical well being, it's there (1Peter 2:24, Galatians 5:22, Romans 5:1,5; 2 Corinthians 8:9). This is good news that is why it is called the GOSPEL or God's pill

God's pill, smooth and small enough to swallow, easily digestible to release it's goodness. Strictly no side effects.

“That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philemon‬ ‭1:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Praise God! Thank you for coming back. We can never exhaust the knowledge of the concept of Spirit, Soul and Body. In fact it is near impossible for me to discuss all I know on the subject which is not as much as I should know, it is the key that unlocks the whole bible for me. What I would like to do, starting from this capsule is to show how it applies to our everyday life. It is a 'spiritual habit ' that we must develop and form. Every day I have to remind myself that 'I am a spirit in image and exact likeness of Christ, I live in a body and have a soul' lest I forget and start walking like a mere man (1 Corinthians 3:1-3) In fact this is what biblical humility is all about , to agree with God even though everything you've been taught screams NO!

Our index scripture in this capsule , to paraphrase says, the way your faith becomes effective is by constantly acknowledging the good things which are in you in Christ Jesus. This is one scripture you must ponder on, because it says a lot about the dynamics of a Christian life. I will try and explain this in several ways. The tendency for us as Christians is to develop the beggarly attitude of asking God to do something, when what we should be doing is finding out what He has already done and deploying them. What we need is not out there, it's in you, in your born again spirit. The Christian life should be that of finding out and discovering what is already available in you and by faith manifesting it in the physical realm. In other words its inside out, not outside in. This is the whole message of the Epistle to the Ephesians. When you understand this, it creates so much stability and direction in your Christian life. There is always this nagging question in the heart of most Christians ( in fact all of us to certain extent), 'will God do it for me?' Understanding this 'INSIDE OUT' concept totally removes that. This is nothing new, I will encourage you to study the epistle to the Ephesians with this new mindset. The church at Ephesus which was exposed to the greatest exploits and miracles of God through Paul, struggled with this concept (Acts 19:10-12). The Epistle was written to them to correct their perspective. The whole of chapters 1-4 take a new meaning when you appreciate this, we are constantly looking and asking for what we already have. Phrases like, 'blessed with all spiritual blessing in Christ Jesus ' 'accepted in the beloved' 'seated with Christ in the heavenly places', should now make a lot more sense!, the question is what are you going to do about it? In fact Paul told the church at Ephesus that the power available for them is equivalent to the same that rose Christ from the dead. In other words, stop asking for more power, you already have it in your born again spirit (Ephesians 1:17-20). What a radical concept!.

Lastly, 2 Peter1:2-4, is a familiar scripture but please take a second look at it and give consideration to it's tense and message. This suggests that everything you need and will ever need has been anticipated by God and provided for before you ever thought you needed them. But you can only access them to the degree of knowledge that you have, not by begging God or manipulation or shouting, but by knowledge (Ephesians 3:20). Once your knowledge (that is revealed knowledge, conceptual knowledge or experiential knowledge ) aligns with what is already in your spirit, all that you need or that is necessary to live a fulfilling life flows out from your spirit through faith (Philemon 1:6). We all struggle in this area, so what we should be doing is spending time and effort in finding out what we have in Christ Jesus and deploying it, instead of begging Him to do what He has already done.

In the next few capsules we would take a closer look at this concept and how we can deploy all the riches of Christ in us.This will begin to answer some questions why we confess the word, why we pray or pray in tongues, when to take authority, lay hands and much more.

Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭(Study in context 2Corinthians 5:16-21)

Starting from capsule 24 we have been discussing the ever so important subject of Spirit, Soul and Body. I am persuaded that with this discussion you have come to see some things in a different light. I would be naive to think that everybody would agree with all, but I am satisfied that I have not said or written anything that has not been validated by the word of God. It took me 24 years to get to this point (maybe I'm a slow learner), I pray it does not take you that long. The problem we face is that we have been force fed by people's opinion of God instead of checking things out our selves (Acts 17:11). The last capsule dealt with what I see as the third stumbling block to appreciating and accessing the real you and the potential available . The difficulty of wanting to earn grace instead of receiving it as a gift through faith is deep seated and long
standing. The epistles to the Romans and Galatians were written solely to address this problem.

The verbal feedback I got from home and abroad has compelled me to dedicate this capsule to further delve into this subject. I really appreciate these feedbacks and can honestly identify with the struggle most of us face. In fact , it is one thing to mentally understand it, the struggle is to get it to become a living concept in your every day life. 'The way we approach God is as if He is able to do all things, but He is yet to do anything, except and unless we make Him do it.' This is wrong and completely runs counter to what grace is all about. The NT is called the Gospel, meaning Good News for a reason. NEWS means it has happened already (Romans 1:16-17, Luke 4:18-19). There are so many scriptures that point at this concept, in fact that is the whole message of the bible, the OT prophesied it and the NT announced its arrival (John 1:16-17), yet we somehow still don't get it. I would like to use a scripture that we all are familiar with to walk you through the dynamics between grace and faith - Romans 10:6-10 (Please read in context Romans 10:4-13).

“But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:6-7‬ ‭(KJV)

To understand grace these 2 questions must not come up in your heart and if they do the answer must never be in doubt.

Question 1
1. Who will go up to heaven to bring Christ down to earth?
The reason why this question should never arise is because He already came voluntarily of His accord.(John 1:29)

Question 2
2. Who shall go to hell to bring Him from the dead?
Again He already went to hell paid the price for sin, defeated the satan and his cohort, made an open show of them and He resurrected the third day (Colossians 2:12-15). Once these two questions are dealt with it becomes obvious that He had left nothing undone that He didn't do!. This is what Grace is.

“But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭10:8-10 (KJV)

Now verse 8, says if the above 2 questions in verses 6 and 7 are irrelevant, what should be the correct response to grace? It answered it's own question, faith! The summary of all these is that there should never be any doubt or question in our hearts about whether Christ would do it, because He already did The question should be 'are you going to accept it as a gift by faith and not by works?' So GRACE , that is everything that comes with the new birth, everything that is in your born again spirit can only be made available or accessible to you if you receive it as a gift which is your positive response called FAITH .

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭(KJV),
