Welcome back, I believe you had a wonderful Christmas and like me you are expecting great things in the New Year. We thank God for His goodness this year but we believe that 2016 will be BETTER, BIGGER, BOLDER AND BRIGHTER just like the path of the just (Proverbs 4:18). When we started the weekly Capsule (God's Pill) in January 2014, I can truthfully say it was a challenge God put to me, and I responded, knowing that He that has called me is faithful. My sincere prayer is that it has affected your life for good.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭1:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In capsule 51, I shared one of two scriptures that I believe present a 'nutshell' view of all that we have shared this year. Matthew 11: 27-30 presents the invitation to the Christian life and what it has to offer. It makes bold claims and back them up with the integrity of God. However, despite these assurances you have to understand the dynamics of how things work. Let me give you an analogy, when you read the brochure for a fancy new car that you desire and can afford, to enjoy the full benefits of what that car has got to offer, either of two things is assumed , that you know how to drive (which is the preferred option) or you have somebody to drive it for you. Matthew 11:27-30 is the car, Romans 1:16-17 is the skill and knowledge to drive it, without it the car will gather dust and rust. There is no point sitting in the car and saying 'bbrrrrmmmm' expecting something to happen, because nothing will. Do you get the picture?

Romans 1:16-17 shows you how to actualise Matthew 11:27-30. The reason why Apostle Paul declared that he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ is because in his days people made funny of the whole concept of THE GOOD NEWS (Gospel), they felt it was just too good and simple to be true, so they rejected it. They wanted something more complex, more intellectual, convoluted and demanding (1 Corinthians 1:18; 22-24). The same is happening today, that is why a lot of people fall prey to charlatans. Anything outside the gospel of grace is absolute gimmickry, a waste of time and resources.

The word salvation is the Greek word 'sozo' which is the all encompassing word for: Forgiveness of sin, Deliverance from demonic oppression, Healing and Material wealth which we know is the REST that was promised in Matthew 11:27-30. So what Romans 1:16 means, is that the Gospel of Christ holds the power to produce REST. So if you understand what the gospel of Christ is and accept it, you will release the power that 'effortlessly' produce rest. Don't forget that Gospel means good news and if it is news it means it has already happened. So if it has already happened, you do not need to struggle for it, that is why it is called REST.

'For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.” Romans 1:17

Verse 17 says, The totality of God's righteousness, everything God has to offer is revealed in this gospel of Christ, no where else , or it is the Blueprint of how God has made us right with Himself and it is accomplished from start to finish by faith. The last part of the jigsaw is that 'the just shall live by faith' or you have to appropriate it by faith or accept it by faith. Faith as I have explained in the past is your positive response to grace. Let me connect the dots for you. The Good news of Christ called the gospel of grace has in it the power to produce REST if you accept it as a gift and live by it.

“There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:9-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I owe a lot to a lot of people, the wonderful people who make it happen every week (WR and M), who give me the nudge at the right time, my leaders and mentors, the ever growing readership, both the silent and vocal, you are special. My wife and our children who I love dearly and of course the Almighty God to whom we owe all . My challenge to all is, let's rise up and take 2016 by the scruff of the neck and make it the year of the Gospel of grace, good news of Christ and not be ashamed to proclaim.

Starting with first capsule this year I promised that we would keep things simple, in fact that capsule was captioned: KEEP IT SIMPLE (KIS): HEALTH AND WEALTH. I sincerely hope that I have stayed true to this. It is my firm belief that we over think the things of God, instead of taking Him at face value. We sometimes talk ourselves out of the Goodness and Kindness of God, and I wonder why? In the last 2 capsules of this year I would like to share 2 scriptures with you that I feel kind of encapsulate everything we have discussed this year and hopefully will set the tone for 2016.

“All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭11:27-30‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The first of these two scriptures is Matthew 11:27-30, and it has profoundly affected me, every verse comes with a cast iron guarantee. Verse 27 states that Christ is the mediator between God and man, no ifs or buts, the same thought is shared throughout the whole bible , in the OT we see this in a shadow and in the New Testament the real deal (1 Timothy 2:5-6, John 14:6, Hebrews 1:1-3). Verse 28 is what I call the GREAT INVITATION, FOR THE GREAT EXCHANGE. The word ALL appears in both verses which tells me that you and I qualify. So what are we exchanging? Labour and Heavy Load for Rest! In previous capsules I have said it several times, that the Christian Life is not a changed life but an Exchange. There is no way or provision to improve any life outside Christ, you have to release it, let it go, relinquish it and receive the life of Christ (2Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 2:20).

The second point is that God (Christ) wants it for you more than you want it for yourself, that is why verse 28 starts with the invitation 'COME', so there is really no reason to beg or plead the way we have been taught in the past. All you have to do is receive it with a humble heart. This is what is called faith, a positive response to the grace (provision) of God, you cannot earn it, it's a gift (Ephesians 2:8-9).

Now let's look at what is been exchanged. We are exchanging Labour/Heavy load for Rest. This is what is called salvation. To many people the term Labour/Heavy Load sounds so vague that it means nothing in practical every day living, so here it is: Sin, Demonic oppression, Material poverty and Sickness/Disease. You exchange all these for Rest which is Forgiveness of sin, Deliverance from demonic oppression, Material prosperity and Sound Health (John 10:10, Luke 4:18-19). This sounds like good news, really good news indeed for that matter, yes it is, that is why it is called the GOSPEL and what makes it better is that it is free!

Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:29-30 KJV

Look at verse 29, This tells you the dynamics for finding the rest. The yoke is a training implement and it constrains, If you are yoked to the devil it leads to Labour and Heavy Load, whereas if you are yoked to Christ, you will find Rest, the choice is yours. I don't need to spell it out but I will. Christ explicitly said His yoke is Easy and His Burden is Light, so let me put it this way, if it is not Easy and Light, then it is not from Christ.

In capsule 52 which is the last for this year we would look at the second scripture. Have a wonderful Christmas.

With this capsule I intend to conclude my teaching on speaking in new tongues for now. I sincerely pray that it has affected you the way it has affected me. I know change is difficult for a lot of us, so the best investment you can make is to make change pay dividends. Don't be a 'follow, follow Christian ' it's time to stand out and be different. When you became born again God made provision for everything that you will ever need in your spirit, when you became baptised in the Holy Spirit and speak in new tongues, He gave you the tool to explore and draw them out into the physical, natural world.

In John 16:7, Christ told the disciples that it is to their advantage that He is leaving them because that would allow the Holy Spirit to come to them. In Acts 1:8, He commanded them not to go anywhere until they receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. In 2Corinthians 13:14, He admonished the Church in Corinth to cultivate fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Outside of studying and meditating on the Word of God, when you speak in new tongues in your devotional time you strengthen your fellowship with the third person of the God-head, the Holy Spirit. Note in John 14:16-17, before Christ left He promised that the Holy Spirit when He comes He will dwell in and with us FOREVER! One of the tragedies of the modern church is that we have not come to appreciate this reality. We treat the Holy Spirit as someone that comes and goes, instead of a constant companion. Again I want to encourage you to spend a significant part of your personal devotional prayer time praying in tongues, it is far more productive instead of asking for 'this and that', try it, you will find out that things would work out better. One of the reason why we run around looking for somebody to prophesy for us is because we have not spent time listening to the Holy Spirit, believe me, in things concerning you, God prefers to speak directly to you (Romans 8:16).

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost,”
‭‭Jude‬ ‭1:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Jude 1:20, says when you pray in new tongues, you build yourself up, in other words your life becomes spiritually stable, strengthened and established (Ephesians 3:16). Have you ever considered what this means? Can you imagine it? I will try and break it down for you, like Christ did. When you pray in new tongues

1. John 14:16, He teaches you ALL things, and bring ALL things to your remembrance,
whatsoever Christ has taught (1 John 2:20,27)

2. John 16:13a, He guides you into ALL truth, that is you will avoid error

3. John 16:13b, He show you things to come, nothing will take you by surprise. You will be in the know so to say.

4. Jude 1:21, He would establish you in the love of God. You will come to really understand what God's UNCONDITIONAL love means (Romans 5:5, Ephesians 3:16-19). The reason why Faith is such a struggle, is because there is a lack of understanding of the love of God (Galatians 5:6)

We have discussed and shared a lot and I guarantee you, if you will put it to practice, your life will never be the same, the word of God will open up to you like never before, you will remember the things of God like never before, you will have the boldness to enter and walk in the NEW and LIVING way (Hebrews 10:19-20).

From capsule 47 we have engaged in the discussion on speaking in new tongues as part of the larger topic of prayer and as usual I have tried to correct some mainstream misconception. Over the last week, I have been meditating and reflecting on the capsules since the beginning of the year, the set from capsule 36 up to date have profoundly affected me. This is hard for me to explain, ordinarily I can only teach things that I have experienced and tested, even then these set of capsules have blessed me so much that on occasions I struggle with what to leave out. My prayer is that the same would happen to you.

Back to our current discussion, in 1 Corinthians 14:18-19, Apostle Paul made a staggering statement, 'saying he spoke in tongues more than the whole church in Corinth put together in his devotional time'. Can you imagine what this means?. In Galatians 1:17, we found that after the conversion experience, he spent 3 years in Arabia without conferring with anybody. This same man who unlike the other Apostles never had contact with Christ whilst He was on earth, had the most In-depth revelation of the risen Lord, so much so that Peter attested to it (2Peter 3:15-16). He had so much revelation of the grace of God that he wrote half of the books in the New Testament. Remember that 1 Corinthians 14:2, 2:7 describe speaking in new tongues as conversation with God, speaking mysteries or the wisdom of God ordained by Him for our glory(benefit) before the world began. In 1 Corinthians 14:14a Paul says when you pray in unknown tongue it is your spirit that is praying. So what all these mean is that when you are praying in unknown tongues, your spirit is praying the mysteries of God or wisdom of God which He has ordained from the beginning of the world for our benefits or glory concerning that situation. 1 Corinthians 14:14b says your understanding is unfruitful when you are praying in tongues! This is a safety mechanism that God has put in place to keep out doubt, fear, unbelief and every other negative thoughts which are products of the mind, so that your spirit can flow unhindered.

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.”
‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:10-12‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Look at the scripture above, this is exactly what happens when you are praying in new tongues. The Holy Spirit transfers the deep things of God to our spirit so that we might know the things that are freely given unto us. Note that 'these things have already been freely given, they are waiting to be's like when you download somethings that is already available in your computer so that you can access it and make use of it. The document is already there, what you are doing is downloading it so that you can make use of it. Except you know how to do this you remain helpless and frustrated. In the last few years that I have come to realise this, I spend virtually all my private devotional time praying in tongues. For me this is a zillion times more profitable, there is so much that God wants to show you, but He can only do it Spirit to spirit (John 4:24, 1 Corinthians 2:13). If you appreciate this you will understand the reason why Paul prayed in new or unknown tongues more than the whole church in Corinth. No wonder he said he was shown somethings by God that words could not express and it was unlawful to tell any other man, wow! Do you know what that means? Paul virtually became a custodian of God's secrets, a confidant of God !(Psalm 119:18, Ephesians 1:17-18).

I know a lot of what I have said here might be completely out of scale for the majority, that is because you have not previously given it thought and consideration or you have never been taught before. I feel compelled to make some assertions and I pray you will see the sincerity behind such. From my own personal experience and observation of others, unless you are baptised in the Holy Spirit, speak in new tongues and understand it's purpose, you will always struggle to transition from the OT to the NT completely; somehow you will keep mixing the two together, the OT will have a strong attraction for you (Galatians 3:24-25, Luke 5:36-39), and the concept of 'Grace versus the Law' would at best be a theory not a functional concept by which you relate with God and live (Luke 9:54-56, Romans 5:13, 2 Corinthians 5:18-19) In the next capsule I will validate this further and I guarantee you your understanding of the scriptures and Christian life will never be the same again if you accept these truths and put them into practise (James 1:22-25)

“But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost, Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.” ‭Jude‬ ‭1:20-21‬ ‭KJV‬‬

In capsule 47 we started on the preamble for the all important subject of speaking in new tongues, I hope you spent time meditating on 1 Corinthians 2:7-17. All along I have premised the discussions on understanding the truth that the New Covenant is hinged on knowing that 'God has already with the new birth given us all that we would ever need for life and godliness'. This generally provokes the question that, 'if this is true, why do we need to pray at all?' As I have said in the past, this is the wrong question to ask. The right question should be , 'how do I lay hold or receive all these spiritual provisions, so that they can manifest in the physical?' This is the frustration most Christians face which eventually lead to desperation. The spiritual world is governed by laws, once you understand this, all you need is to find out what those laws are and apply them, it then becomes like drawing water out of a well, '“Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

To do the above, praying in new tongues is central. Before we go into it,  I would like to clarify a popular misconception. The primary use of speaking in tongues is not to fight the devil, no not at all, It has more to do with you (Jude 1:19-20, Romans 8:25-28). To be certain when you are speaking in new tongues, Satan and the demonic host can't have a look in, they are locked out, but that is 'as a result of ' not ' the primary reason why' . Let me put it another way, the primary reason why you pray or speak in new tongues is to edify or build yourself up . As a consequence of this the devil is shut out during the process. Another way of putting it is, you are tuning into a superior spiritual frequency/wavelength, and as you do that, it cuts out the nuisance, demonic frequency/wavelengths. But your primary purpose and focus is the former not the latter. Your aim is to access and draw on the mysteries in your born again spirit through the help of the Holy Spirit (Ephesians chapter 3, 1Corinthians 2:7-17, Romans 8:25-28). So your focus is not on the devil, but on accessing the mind of God. Except you understand this fundamental, you will be expending spiritual energy purposelessly and pointlessly.

“But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:25-28‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Romans 8:25-28 explains this like no other. There are 4 parts to it. Verse 25 sets the scene. Hope is seeing that which does not exist in the physical but you know it exists. Verse 26 says the Holy Spiritual comes to our aid because of this inadequacy or weakness. (The weakness or inadequacy is the difficulty we have with bringing the invisible to the visible . How to bring what we hope for into this present reality, since it already exists in the spiritual world). The word translated 'helpeth' from Greek literarily means 'to lay hold with us' or 'join up with us' to overcome this inadequacy. So as you open your mouth and make the utterance, the Holy Spirit who understands the mind of God perfectly takes over, searching and accessing the mind of God for that situation, making all the necessary course correction, standing as a bridge, that is what intercession is all about . As the Holy Spirit does this intercession by groaning, you begin to speak mysteries according to 1 Corinthians 14:2. The resultant effect is a 'downloading' process (please refer to 1 Corinthians 2:10-12 for more explanation), this is the third part. Then all things start to fall into there right places, the wisdom of God for that situation starts to flow, insight into complex issues or whatever it is you desire, as long as it is in line with the New Covenant. The summary of these 4 parts is well encapsulated in Jude 1:20-21, there is an edification or building up (1 Corinthians 14:4a, Jude 1:20), followed by manifestation or assurance or realisation of the love of God (Romans 5:5, Jude 1:21). It sounds all so complex, but really it is simple. As you do this, things begin to shift from the spiritual to the physical.

I have for the purposes of explanation and teaching divided the process into parts but in reality, it is actually a continuum , but except you know what to expect it becomes a ritual and tedium. Lastly, it is the Holy Spirit that groans in you and it happens spontaneously and involuntarily it is not something you make happen, your part is to cooperate with Him.

In capsule 49 we would consider this further
