GOD'S PILLS 2016 : CAPSULE 8

THE BLESSING OF THE LORD: BLESSED BEYOND A CURSE

“He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the Lord his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them. God brought them out of Egypt; he hath as it were the strength of an unicorn. Surely there is no enchantment against Jacob, neither is there any divination against Israel: according to this time it shall be said of Jacob and of Israel, What hath God wrought!”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭23:21-23‬ ‭KJV

We have come to the third plank of this discussion, I really would like to bless the name of the Lord for the opportunity to share these things with you, I do not take it for granted. There is so much about the salvation in Christ Jesus, but ignorance and laziness have robbed us. We started this year looking at the blessings of the Lord, and to make things easily understandable I have divided it into Truly Blessed, Blessed and Highly Favoured and Blessed beyond a curse. These are highly charged topics, and of the three, Blessed beyond a curse is probably the most contentious and least understood. This is the one that people find most difficult to wholly accept. I can understand why, (especially considering the occultic background of most of us) but I am fully persuaded to say and assert based on the veracity of the scriptures that we are blessed beyond a curse. Just as a born again Christian might lead an ordinary life despite the fact that God has already blessed and highly favoured us. Similarly he can live under the bondage and deception of a curse despite the fact that this should not be, knowledge makes all the difference. You need to be well grounded in what we have discussed so that you can handle this. I promise you once you know it in your 'knower', you will never be the same. Please be patient with me, I will need to go slowly to demystify some things.

In capsule 2, I defined BLESSING as 'the Intrinsic spiritual ability to prosper imparted by God, and it comes by spoken words. I also showed that it comes through Christ or through the generational line of Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17, Ephesians 1:3). A curse is likewise a spiritual design to do the opposite, and it also comes through the spoken word. It's like an unseen cloud that stays with the individual to kill, steal and destroy. Like the Blessings of the Lord, it could be generational or through the Adamic line (1 Corinthians 15:22, Ephesians 2:3). By common observation, it would appear that curses are more apparent and the effects are rife, whereas the Blessings of the Lord require exercise of faith. I would agree 100% with this observation, however the reason is that the natural default mode in this world is for things to go from good to bad because we live in a fallen world. It takes spiritual effort called faith to tap into the spiritual provision called grace. 2 Corinthians 4:4, tells us that Satan is the God of this world, so the default mode is to kill, steal and destroy, these three elements when mixed with lack of knowledge provides a rich environment for curses to operate (Hosea 4:6, 2 Corinthians 5:17-21).

Therefore it is possible for a Christian to operate under a curse even though this should not be. But the good news is there is no curse that cannot be broken! The blessing of the Lord is much more potent and can reverse, break and destroy the operation of any curse. In fact The Blessings of the Lord are designed to do just that, to protect you from the destructive effect of curses. You only need to know what to do particularly for a New Testament Believer (or not to do). People who disagree that we are blessed beyond a curse would usually use the OT as examples, but I believe this is a poor interpretation of scripture. To start with the OT is a shadow that must always be understood from the NT perspective. I intend to show you that even the OT prophesied it.

Before we end this capsule I will recommend you read Numbers 21-23, then meditate on our index scripture Numbers 23:21-23. Do you know that this is a NT prophecy? Look at verse 21, It says God did not see iniquity in Jacob, or perverseness in Israel, How can this be? Because Christ paid the price for both! That is why enchantment, sorcery or divination do not have any legal grounds. This was a parable, oracle, figurative discuss or prophecy pointing to the NT saints (2 Corinthians 5:19).

CONCLUSION
IF YOU ARE IN CHRIST, ENCHANTMENTS, SORCERIES OR DIVINATIONS HAVE NO LEGS TO STAND ON.

Ps
That was the introduction, we would explore this concept from the OT perspective in the next capsule before we go into what obtains now.
