GOD'S PILLS 2016 : CAPSULE 27

WALKING IN THE SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY OF GOD:
A LIFE OF PRAISE:DEVELOPING ATTITUDE FILLED WITH GRATITUDE;

THE EFFECT OF PRAISE ON YOU

“My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed: I will sing and give praise.”
‭‭Psalms‬ ‭57:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We are looking at the eighth principle in WALKING IN THE SUPERNATURAL SUPPLY OF GOD. I have called it 'Life of Praise: Developing attitude filled with gratitude'. In the last capsule, I explained that this impacts you, Satan and his cohort and lastly God or rather the manifestation of the goodness of God in your life. In this capsule I intend to show the effect it has on you. My drive in teaching these principles is to demystify the spiritual. I know that this sounds like an oxymoron, but think about it, the bible is the most spiritual book that ever existed and will ever exist and yet it is the most widely available and it exist in virtually every language. The reason is simple, God has a deep desire to communicate and reveal the person of Christ to everybody (John 5:39, 1Timothy 2:4-6). My earnest desire is that this simple principles will become part of your spiritual fabric and ultimately enhance your spiritual EFFICIENCY AND EFFECTIVENESS, (Please bare in mind that for the purposes of this study, Praise is used in the generic sense to include; Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship. Refer to capsule 27).

Looking at the effect of Praise on you, our index scripture is very instructive! When your heart is fixed on God, Praise is the effortless result. Praise is an expression of the emotions of your spirit. It shows the way you truly see God. It is impossible to be depressed if praise is truly flowing from your being, because depression is born of despair. When you have a revelation of the Resurrected Christ, the perfect redemption we have in Him and Grace available through Him, Praise (Thanksgiving, Praise and Worship) will be the fragrance coming from you.

“Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with thanksgiving.”
‭‭Colossians‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

True Praise is evidence that you have assurance of a positive outcome to your petition. The commentary of Colossians 2:7, is that with Praise (thanksgiving), you become rooted and built up in Christ, not only that, Thanksgiving also makes your faith abound. One of the commonest statement among Christians is 'I want to activate my faith'. As good as this sounds, it is unhelpful. Our faith walk should not be in spurts, we are to LIVE and WALK by faith (Romans 1:17, 2 Corinthians 5:7). This dominant effect of Praise is to shift your focus from the physical (current situation and circumstance) to the spiritual, showing you the possibilities (Read capsules 18-20:2016, Principles 4th and 5th). The faith of Christ is already available in your spirit, Praise creates the platform for expression. Let me give you a practical approach , the next time you find yourself down in the dumps, spend time meditating on God's word, on His goodness and love, don't be in a rush. What this does is that it gives legitimacy, credibility and substance to your Praise. It makes it robust, you are not forcing it, it is real, faith then flows or abound (this is dynamics you see in most of the Psalms). One of the commonest mistake (in my opinion) is to ask people to Praise mechanically, this approach makes Praise hollow, temporary and because it's forced, it does not last because it is not properly fueled .

“Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6-7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

No godly prayer is complete without praise, in fact every prayer, no matter the type should be a 'Praise Sandwich'. Praise (Thanksgiving) makes you qualify for greater manifestation of the blessings of God in you life. In Luke 17:12-19, Christ healed ten lepers, the only one that returned with Thanksgiving was made whole because he understood that your prayer is incomplete without thanksgiving.

CONCLUSION
ABOUND IN PRAISE, IT MAKES YOU ROOTED AND BUILT UP IN FAITH
IT IS NOT A ONE TIME THING, BUT AN ALL THE TIME THING (Ephesians 5:19-20)

Ps
In the next capsule we would consider the effect of Praise on Satan! As promised in capsule 26 we would end this series with two stories or parables of Christ (Luke 11:5-13, Luke 18:2-8), you will be blessed.
As always please link the capsule to your social media site, great things are happening.
