God's Pill Capsule 38

I would like to start by expressing my gratitude to those who have partnered with us in spreading the goodness of God by linking each capsule to your social media sites. The great testimonies and feedbacks we are getting is in part due to your efforts, God will not forget your labour of love.
Going against the grain of years of traditional and emotional teachings is never easy but the tide is changing, minds are being renewed! Don't be weary in doing good, for the reward will come if we remain true and consistent and not give up. (Galatians 6:9)

In this series, we are discussing answers to that nagging question that bugs all of us, 'Why am I not getting the results as promised in Matthew 7:7-8 and Luke 11:8-9?' So far we have considered two reasons (Making the main thing, the main thing' and 'Don't ask for anything outside the New Covenant provisions'). These are vital to improving your spiritual experience. We started on the third reason 'ALLOW PATIENCE TO PERFECT THE WORK'. I would suggest you go through all we have discussed so far, the thought process cannot be compartmentalised, they are joined up. The summary of the third reason so far is that, Patience when coupled with Faith makes you complete, entire, lacking nothing. From the last capsule it is obvious that this PATIENCE as described in the gospel is dynamic and enduring, quite different from the ordinary, so we need to know the source of this patience and how it works.

“Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24 KJV
Let's continue, Mark 11:24, the above passage is the conclusion to Mark 11:22-23, that is why it is prefixed with the word 'therefore'. It says 'what things so ever you desire when you pray, believe you RECEIVE them, (present) and you shall HAVE them' (future). (What we are about to discuss is of crucial importance so please pay very close attention), This, if properly understood is saying:-

1. Receiving is different from Having
2. Receiving precedes Having (Mark 11:24, Mark 16:18)
3. Receiving presupposes that It has already been Given (Matthew 7:7, 2Peter 1:2-3)

Let me simplify this: when you Ask, God gives, first you must Receive before you can Have. In the New Covenant, He has already GIVEN (2Peter 1:3-4, Ephesians 1:3, 1Corinthians 2:12), so in the actual sense we are dealing with the 'RECEIVING and HAVING'. RECEIVING is when you take ownership of whatever it is in its spiritual form. HAVING refers to the physical manifestation. To understand this you must remember always that, God is a Spirit, and you are a spirit (John 2:24, Hebrews 12:9). The answer is released in its spiritual form that is why you Believe you have Received (that is taking ownership). The time space between this and Having is bridged by THE WORK OF PATIENCE (James 1:2-4, Hebrews 6:12, Hebrews 10:35-36, Luke 8:15). Between AMEN and THERE IT IS. That is where most of the battle is lost and won, except you understand what is required in Patience and how to put it to work. This patience is not idle, or indolent and it does not necessarily mean unproductive activities (It can be described as watchful waiting with action when necessary). To know what to do in different circumstances requires wisdom, hence the admonition in James 1:5. “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.” There is no one size fits all, you need absolute reliance on the Holy Spirit, that is why you need to make the main thing, the main thing. The question that is usually asked is 'how long do I have to wait? The answer is as long as it takes. Certain things of necessity demand time to mature, particularly where others are involved, a typical example is Ministry. For others the length of time is largely due to you! God has already given, but your receiving might be faulty or there is a hindrance to the manifestation. This could be as simple as a wrong mindset on your part or some form of demonic hindrance. Whatever might be the reason you will need the wisdom of God, this will give spiritual insight and what step is needed to move from RECEIVING to HAVING.

“For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.” Romans 15:4 KJV

As we close in this capsule, it is important to make clear that this PATIENCE (watchful waiting with necessary action) is bred and nurtured through the scriptures, nowhere else. In the next capsule we would look at an Old Covenant story that illustrates this and make a New Covenant application of how to shorten the time between AMEN and THERE IT IS, or RECEIVING and HAVING, that is, how the wisdom of God impacts PATIENCE. What we have discussed so far might sound technical and deep, but in actual fact it isn't. When you start putting it to practice, you will wonder why you never saw things this way before. I pray that your eyes of understanding will be enlightened in Jesus name, amen.
