“Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.” John 3:7-8KJV

In the last capsule, we started on the New Covenant provision for Sons (aka New Creations) with particular reference to Healing. However, to really understand this, you must take the time to read through from capsule 2 of this year. I say this because most of the things we share are counter culture and the tendency is for the reader to quickly forget. Do not gloss over them, they are not for cursory consumption . The reason why I am so excited about this approach, is that it produces a fundamental and permanent change when properly understood.

In capsule 5, we looked at the four cardinal statements (assertions) and in actual fact they are all summarised in the fourth 'We are New Creations, not Homo Sapiens'.

As I continue to study the word of God, the more I see that 'All things have of necessity become New' (2 Corinthians 5:17b). Sadly though, for some reasons this is just a cliche in the modern church. We need to know what it means so that we can give it the fullest expression in our lives.

Outwardly, the Old Creation (Homo Sapien) and the New Creation look similar and that can be confusing. This is the same dilemma Nicodemus had in John chapter 3, he could see that Christ was like any other man outwardly, but he realised that there was something completely different about Him, it was not physical but it was real (John 3:2) and what Christ told him was mind blowing, a completely new concept. He had to be born again or born from above (Read the whole of John chapter 3 for this wonderful discussion). Paul calls it 'New Creation or a brand new species that never existed before'. Jesus Christ was the prototype, the first among many to follow (Romans 8:29). This New Creation has a son/father relationship with God based on a New Covenant

“Verily I say unto you, Among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.” Matthew 11:11 KJV

Again, look at Matthew 11:11, in this passage Christ was contrasting the Old Creation with the New Creation. Of everyone (with the exception of Adam and Eve before the fall) that ever existed, John the Baptist was the greatest. Let me rephrase that, 'John the Baptist was the greatest of all Homo Sapiens or Old Creations, but the least of the New Creations is greater than John. Which then begs the question, How? Remember that the 'Old Creations' were either outcasts that had no covenant or servants that operated the Old Covenant. Surely, the New Creature must then have something much better?

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.” 3 John 1:2KJV

If the Outcast could tap into the Covenant and be healed (Matthew 15:21-27), and the Servant had healing as part of the Old Covenant (Luke 13:10-16), and these are types and shadows of the real deal. What is it then that the New Creation have in the New Covenant that is far better which is the reality and original intention of God? (Let's consider healing for example), take a closer look at 3 John 1:2. This scripture is not talking about healing per se, it is referring to absence of SICKNESS AND DISEASE, that is DIVINE HEALTH. The New Covenant provision is for the New Creation to walk in perfect health constantly, to be in a vibrant state of health, (and in the off chance that he falls sick, then Healing), that is the perfect provision and that is what we should aim for. Even in the Old Covenant there was a shadow of this ((Deuteronomy 34:7). This is a concept that is so strange and so far removed from the thoughts of many, because we have not really considered what it is to be a New Creation. We might appear outwardly like everyone else around us but we are not the same, we are born from above, New Creations, we are born of the Spirit (John 3:5, 8b). When you fully understand this, things will just begin to fall into place, you will stop struggling with sickness or disease, lack will depart, you will be free from demonic control and condemnation of sin. The only reason these appear far fetched, is because the modern church for some reasons don't teach this often enough and what you don't know, you cannot give expression to.

To avoid any misunderstandings, I am not claiming to be expressing this perfectly, far from it, but that is what I am shooting for, it is on my radar! I am certain that nobody has ever plundered the full depth of what it means to be a New Creation. Secondly, you might be wondering how is this supposed to happen? I am glad you asked, that is what we would consider in the next capsule, please be patient with me, this is strong meat.

I have restrained myself to the bare essentials, in presenting these truths to simplify things so that you can be nourished and edified. This might be strong meat but it is definitely not complex. I pray the Holy Spirit would expand your capacity and give you understanding.
