GOD'S PILL 2017 : CAPSULE 28

BLESSINGS AND MIRACLES : THE DIFFERENCE, TURKEYS AND EAGLES
“He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” Psalms 103:7 KJV

The first three capsules in this series gave an introduction into this topic. By now it should be obvious that there are differences between BLESSINGS and MIRACLES. The working definitions we discussed in capsule one are crucial to the understanding of things. In summary Blessings are God's spoken favour over our lives that make the natural laws yield exponentially good results or work to our benefit (Genesis 26:12). Whereas Miracles suspend the natural laws to a desired purpose . For those joining us newly, I will advise you to go through the previous three capsules to have a full understanding of where we are. A lot has been said that requires pondering . I ended the last capsule on a personal note to prepare you for the next phase of our discussion.

He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.” Psalms 103:7 KJV

Psalms 103:7 paints a vivid picture , it says God made His WAYS known to Moses and His ACTS to the children of Israel. Can you see the difference? Moses got to understand God's character, reasons for doing things and preferred method. But all the children of Israel saw were the acts or Miracles. This is a sad commentary on the children of Israel. This explains why they never grew spiritually, the reason why they murmured perpetually and eventually all the adults that left Egypt died in the wilderness. How can you explain it, people who have just seen God demonstrate His power with Ten plagues, the Red Sea parted for them but swallowed the greatest Army in existence then and yet at the first appearance of any obstacle would rather go back into slavery ?

The first consideration to note is that a constant desire for miracles is not only an evidence of immaturity and lack of understanding of God's order. It will also stifle and hinder your growth spiritually. You are like a child that can only handle processed food (milk) instead of the real deal (Hebrews 5:12-14). Miracles appeal to and gratify your carnality (your five senses) Matthew 12:39, 16:4. From our definition, by implication you are asking God to constantly suspend the workings of the natural laws, you have not taken time to understand His ways and learn to cooperate with them (Matthew 11:29, Isaiah 28:9). Whereas those who are walking in the blessings, have come to understand that He instituted the natural laws for a reason. They understand delayed gratification and Divine process. This difference is the dividing line between the TURKEYS and EAGLES . Everyone starts by desiring miracles all of the time and there is nothing wrong with that, the problem is when that is all you know and do not progress.

Like the children of Israel, constant dependence on miracles creates a high maintenance mentality and vulnerability. Invariably it leads to frustration and disappointment. There is danger for Church leaders who encourage this Miracle dependence mentality because it is attractive or that it draws crowd. In time, this same crowd would either wear you out or drag you down, because they are never satisfied. This was the reason Moses never got into the Promise land (Numbers 20:12). God is not always in the spectacular and not everything that appears supernatural is of God (1 King 19:11-13).

I sincerely hope that what we have discussed so far is of help, always remember that God created the Natural Laws from the foundation of the world and described them as very good (Genesis 1:31). He is not inclined to suspend them willy nilly, there are trigger factors that bring about miracles (we would consider some in the next capsule). If Sin/Evil had not entered the world there would not have been any need for miracles. We would consider further differences in the next few capsules, then the application. These are things that have had a drastic effect on my thinking and affected my life for good, it will do the same for you if you allow it.

CONCLUSION
DON'T BE A TURKEY. GOD WANTS US TO KNOW HIS WAYS, NOT JUST HIS ACTS.

Ps

GOD'S PILL 2017: CAPSULE 27

BLESSINGS AND MIRACLES

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3 KJV

I ended the last capsule on a cautionary note that despite the fact that God's preferred option is for us to learn to work in the Blessings, there will always be situations where only a Miracle will do. This is because we live in a fallen world and secondly there are things we ought to know but we don't. Spiritual maturity takes time and dedication to the things of God (1 Corinthians 13:11-12, Isaiah 28:9-10). To ensure that His ultimate plan comes to pass, He has made provision for temporary suspension of the Natural laws (that is Miracles) on those occasions when our backs are against the wall. Imagine what would have happened if the Red Sea did not part for the newly delivered nation of Israel (who were yet to know God) when Pharaoh showed up in hot pursuit. (Exodus 14:21-22). Or if there was no provision of manna in the wilderness when they did not have the time or land to plant and harvest (Exodus 16:13-15).

The modern Church have however gone to the extreme, preaching and teaching the constant desire for Miracles. This has perverted the order of things and the average Christian has developed this short cut mentality, wanting everything now! They would rather spend all their time praying without working, instead of praying over their work (Psalms 1:3 and 2 Thessalonians 3:10).
The implication and consequence of this misplaced and muddled thinking is huge. Most do not know how to nurture and walk in the blessing, creating unnecessary frustration. On the other hand however, it has given the devil in-roads into the church by way of inordinate desire for material wealth (1 Timothy 6:10). Virtually every Church bill board you see, is advertising one miracle service or the other, exploiting the ignorant and fuelling greed.

I would like to end this capsule on a personal note that would demonstrate what we have shared so far. About 23 years ago my wife and I were allocated an empty council flat, the problem was that we had no money to furnish it. As I pondered on what to do....? within minutes, a friend that we have not heard from for a long time called asking whether we knew of anybody that needed furnitures. One of her clients had relocated to Australia and they needed to clear the house. In addition they would provide transportation. The flat had virtually everything we needed, from brand new beds to gas cooker, some where still in their original wrappings. Within a day, from nothing, we had more than enough! we even had to give some things away.

Again, when I got my first job in Milton Keynes (after not working for two and a half years), while I was considering what to do (we lived in London and I didn't have enough money for transportation). That afternoon, without discussing with anybody, somebody volunteered to drive me down, when we got to Milton Keynes, he left the only car he had for me to use and took public transport back to London (things like these happened over and over, multiple times).

After a period of time I learnt how to walk in the blessings and it seem we had what we needed without any drama. Whilst meditating on this one day, I felt I was missing out on the drama of those early days and wondering why. I felt the Lord spoke to me, asking 'Which would I prefer, a life of constant supply without the drama or go back to those edgy days?'. I quickly repented, this is a better way to live, constant supply!
Now I am walking in the Blessings, I can go out and buy what I need without waiting for somebody else's cast away, also give away things without trepidation (2 Corinthians 9:8). Similarly, It is better to walk in divine health, without waiting to fall ill and looking for someone to lay hands on me. I walk free from the condemnation of sin and demonic oppression, instead of looking for somebody to minister 'deliverance'. It's a far better way to live when you are learning to cooperate with the blessing. The spoken favour of God, enhancing the natural laws to yield exponentially for my benefit (Proverbs 10:22, Ephesians 1:3).

I pray you are experiencing a stirring, there is much mediocrity being taught, fluff, when we should be reaching for the deeper things of God. From the next capsules we would take a closer look, compare and contrast Blessings and Miracles so that we can learn to receive God's best. These are things you might not have considered before or even heard before. As we discuss they will become clear, all you need to do is make the necessary mental adjustments (Romans 12:2)

CONCLUSION
WE ARE ALREADY BLESSED, ALL WE NEED IS ADJUSTED THINKING!

GOD'S PILL 2017 : CAPSULE 26

BLESSINGS AND MIRACLES

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3 KJV

This is the second capsule in this series BLESSINGS and MIRACLES. I would concede that this is not a catchy title, however my intention is to show you the difference between the two and lead you into God's best by proper application. In the introduction, I gave some working definitions. I would advise you to go through again. In brief, a Blessing is designed to enhance the natural laws, making them work better to your benefit. On the other hand, Miracles of necessity require the suspension of these natural laws. For some reason most people can identify a curse (the opposite of blessing) when in operation, the natural laws just refuse to produce (Genesis 3:17-19).

“The Lord shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.” Deut. 28:12 KJV (In context Verses 2-13)

Deuteronomy 28:12 gives a graphic example of how a blessing works, I call it the dynamics. See how the natural law is enhanced. God opens up His good treasure causing the Rain to fall at the right time on your land, ( the most appropriate time, not too early or too late), to bless the WORK OF YOUR HAND. The result is that you will then have so much abundance that you be able to lend out to others. Simply put, when this blessing is in operation, it makes you get an unusual high yield or reward for your effort. What this means is that those who refuse to work, despite being blessed would not receive this abundance. The reason is simple, they have either knowing or unknowingly refused to COOPERATE with this blessing (I would explain this later in the series). By refusing to work, you are actively working against this blessing, making it dormant instead of active (I really pray you grasp this).

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3 KJV

For the New Creation or New Covenant, unlike in the Old Covenant we are blessed all around, in every facet and aspect of life, I call it 360 degrees. Christ by His redemptive work is the guarantor (Hebrews 7:24-25). Every aspect of our life is supposed to reflect maximum yield, from your health to your wealth. This includes soundness of mind because you are free from the condemnation of sin and free from demonic control (Romans 8:1, Luke 10:19, Mark 16:17-18), walk in divine health and healing (3John 1:2, Romans 8:11, 1Peter 2:24), have so much abundance that we abound to every good work (2 Corinthians 9:8, Philippians 4:19, Psalms 35:27). God has catered for every aspect with blessings, making sure the laws of nature yield maximally, what we need to do is cooperate!. The fact that we are not experiencing it does not mean God has not made the provision......“For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us.” 2 Corinthians 1:20 KJV. Again, I remind you that these natural laws were put in place by God from the very foundation of Creation, and God Himself describes their working as very good (Genesis 1:31). Not only that, He has set them in perpetuity for as long as the Earth remains (Genesis 8:22). This is God's first and preferred pattern.

The logical question then is, 'Why Miracles? Why does God suspend these natural laws on occasions to achieve His desired end?' (This might shock you, but give it serious consideration). God introduced Miracles because of Sin or the Fall and indirectly because of ignorance. Sin introduced perversion or evil into the world, such that it takes a Miracle (suspension of natural laws) on some occasions to stop the consequence of evil in its tracks. Secondly, ignorance could lead to unintended consequences except there is intervention in the form of Miracle. Miracles in a way recalibrate things and reinstate the equilibrium. (I am painting with broad strokes for now, in subsequent capsules we will go into details). The overriding nature of God is Love, that is the reason we have Miracles to stop evil and ignorance taking hold and wreaking havoc or subverting the ultimate goal of God (Jeremiah 29:11). I know that this might offend the established and conventional theology, but it is true and I intend to provide strong evidence in this series. Once you get it, it makes the Christian life so much better. You are no longer prey to the current fad or popular thoughts, you will wake up every morning full of vigour knowing the seed of the blessing to overcome all is already in you.

I will like to end this capsule with this cautionary note. Which ever way God brings deliverance I will take it and I encourage you to do the same. You will never get to the point where you will outgrow the need for a Miracle, it is important to note that. Nobody knows it all, we are all at different stages in our Christian walk, thank God for Miracles.

CONCLUSION

Thank God for Miracles but learn to cooperate with BLESSINGS

PS
I am really excited about this series, I believe somebody is about to be set free from the clutches of evil trend into the glorious liberty of the sons of God. This is not for the mainstream, it will challenge every sinew and fabric of what you think you know. I believe God will give you understanding

GOD'S PILL 2017 : CAPSULE 25

BLESSINGS AND MIRACLES

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:” Ephesians 1:3 KJV

The Introduction
This is a series that would challenge the established and conventional, it is only fair that I should state that from the get-go. However if you are patient with me, open minded and flexible to the truth, it will expand your capacity for success. In the fourth capsule of 2016, I hinted at the difference between Blessings and Miracles, but promised to deal with it at a later date, this is it. There is a deep seated general misunderstanding of the difference between BLESSINGS and MIRACLES, in fact I would refer to it as muddled thinking. To unravel this, we would need to go into some basic teaching in this introduction before we consider right applications, but first, we need some working definitions.

Blessing: This is the intrinsic spiritual ability to prosper imparted by God or God's spoken favour over the life of an individual, it could also apply to a process or group of people. (Curse is the opposite)

Miracle: This is the supernatural suspension of the physical or natural laws by God to bring to pass a desired end.

When God created the earth (Physical world), He instituted natural laws to keep it in perpetuity to maintain order. For example, in Genesis chapter one, He created the sun to rule the day and the moon to rule the night, everything brings forth according to its kind. At this stage, He made no provision for suspension of any of these laws, there was no need. As a matter of fact, in Genesis 1:31 (my paraphrase), God's assessment was that everything (that is the function of the natural laws) was VERY GOOD, or perfect. There was no need to suspend what was perfect. God then created Adam into this perfection. So the question is what brought about the need for Miracles or suspension of these natural laws at times? (We would answer that later).

In Genesis 1:26-28, God created man. Remember that man is a Spirit, he has a soul and lives in a body. By implication, one third part of man is subject to these natural laws, however not the real man or the part of him that matters, the spirit.

In Genesis 1:22, God blessed every living thing, saying 'be fruitful and multiply'. This is the scope of the spoken favour of God over these natural laws that govern every living thing up to that point. However in Genesis 1:28, the scope of the blessing (that is God's spoken favour) over man is 'Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth'. In other words, natural laws are good but with the spoken favour of God over a man, these laws work better and become far enhanced in favour of an individual that is blessed. Blessings don't suspend natural laws but cause them to operate better. For a blessed man, natural laws yield exponential results.

“The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.”
Proverbs 10:22 KJV

Proverbs 10:22, describes what we have been discussing. This is God's preferred pattern for an individual, process, or nation. Examples abound, from Abraham in Genesis 12, Isaac in Genesis 26, Jacob Genesis 27, or the Nation of Israel in Deuteronomy 28, we see this over and over again. The spoken favour of God, energising and enhancing the natural laws in the life of an individual making them work far better, (not opposing or suspending these laws). Lack of understanding of this basic precept is at the root of most of the problems faced by the modern Church. In fact, the 'nothing for something' culture that is so prevalent can be traced to the lack of understanding of this primary biblical concept.

Once you understand this order of things, it makes the Christian life far more productive and exciting, it will remove frustration. You will walk in divine health and healing, you will have freedom from lack and demonic control, in other words you will flourish. This is the way God designed it, this is His first and preferred pattern. This is the reason God always speaks His favour (blessing) over the chosen. The Church according to 1 Peter 2:9 is the chosen generation. Ephesians 1:3 says, we have been blessed with ALL spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. In the next capsule we would discuss this further to further verify this concept.

CONCLUSION
BLESSINGS REMOVE TOILING SO THAT THE NATURAL LAWS YIELD EXPONENTIALLY
