BLESSINGS AND MIRACLES : THE APPLICATION, THE REALITY OF FAITH (contd.)
While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4:18
From capsule 32 we started on the practical application aspect of this series, the first step is commitment. In the last capsule we started on the reality of Faith in bringing to the physical the Blessings that are already made available by grace in the spiritual. Always remember that God is a Spirit, so Blessings are spiritual, you then need faith to bring them into the physical. That is the whole thrust of 2 Corinthians 4:18, the ability to see the spiritual or the intangible and then 'walk it' into the physical. The logical question then is, 'How do you look at the things that are not seen or how do you see the spiritual?' My intention is to demystify this question, I do believe it is not mysterious as most have made it. But before we do that I need to convince you beyond the shadow of a doubt that everything is ALREADY available in the spiritual world.
“Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.”
Hebrews 11:3 KJV
Hebrews 11:3, is another scripture that shows we have two worlds , spiritual and physical. It says Faith gives us the understanding that the worlds were framed or made by the word of God. It is the word of God that made the worlds, what faith does is to give you the understanding of what has already been made. Part of the understanding is that everything physical comes from the spiritual (Hebrews 11:3b). Faith creates the currency that translates the spiritual things that are already in existence into the physical, tangible world.
“(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.” Romans 4:17KJV
Romans 4:17a (I have made thee a father of many nations) is a direct quotation from Genesis 17:5. Please follow me carefully as I use it to illustrate my point. In Genesis 17 when God appeared to Abram, He said, 'I have MADE you a father of many nations', (not that He will make him). God had already made him, that is Abram, father of many nations even when the physical child of promise, Isaac was yet to be born. It was already a done deal in the spiritual, waiting for the faith of Abram/Abraham to see that what is already available in the spiritual (Romans 4:18-21). As far back as Genesis 12 when God pronounced the Blessings over him, the spiritual provision had been made (we would come back to this later). Likewise for the New Creation, at birth (Romans 10:9-10, 2Corinthians 17-21) we have been blessed with ALL spiritual blessings, the spiritual provisions have already been made and like Abraham we need to bring them to this physical by faith. So, Faith is the positive response to what God has provided by grace or Faith gives us access to what God has provided by grace (Romans 5:1). Once you understand this, the influence of doubt to a significant extent is broken. If what you are after already exist and has been given to you (albeit in the spiritual), how can you doubt that you will get it?
As we close, I know that still leaves us with that all important question 'How do you see the spiritual or how can you look at the things that are not seen? We would devote the next capsule to that, and demystify the concept, it will be fun as we connect the dots.
FAITH SEES THE INTANGIBLE AND CONVERTS IT INTO THE TANGIBLE
